What a 40ft high cube container is used for
Same footprint as a standard 40ft, so the same truck, chassis and site space. The extra foot of height is about 13% more volume for roughly the same tare.
- Storage of light, bulky goods, where volume runs out before weight
- Conversion projects (offices, workshops, homes) that need standing height
- Export of voluminous cargo, and SOC one-way moves
Grades
The grade sets the price and what the container is fit for. The same grade names are used in every US depot.
- Brand New (one-trip): Built in China and used once to ship goods to the US. Near-perfect condition, full remaining CSC life.
- IICL: Inspected and repaired to the IICL standard, the grade leasing companies accept back. Wind and water tight.
- Cargo Worthy: Structurally sound and fit for international shipping with a valid CSC plate. Cosmetic wear, dents and patches.
- WWT: Wind and water tight for storage. Not certified for sea transport.
- As-Is: Sold in its current condition, defects accepted. For conversion, parts or budget storage.
Pickup and delivery
Units are sold ex-depot: you collect at the depot with a tilt-bed or chassis, or we quote delivery to your site. Delivery is priced per site, from the distance, the access and the truck it needs.
Tell us the delivery address, the grade and the quantity. The written quote states the depot, the unit price, the delivery cost and the payment terms.
