One-way container offers

Weekly one-way container offers for the routes you choose: origin, destination, equipment and pick-up charge per container. Access on request, after review.

Choose the routes you work on. Once your request is approved, you receive our one-way offers for those routes: origin, destination and pick-up charge per container.

We confirm every request by email, then review it. No offer is sent before approval.

What a one-way offer is

A one-way offer covers a shipper-owned container (SOC) leased for a single leg. You pick the container up empty at a depot in the origin location, load it, ship it with the carrier of your choice and return it empty to a depot in the destination location.

MG-Atlantic sends these offers where equipment has to move from one region to another. The conditions therefore follow real container flows, and they change from week to week.

What each offer contains

Offers arrive by email, one line per route and equipment. They carry the conditions of the week, for the routes you follow only.

The terms behind every offer

Release, free days, per diem and return: our one-way leasing page sets out how a single-leg lease runs, from pick-up to drop-off.

About the pick-up charge

The pick-up charge reflects how much the equipment needs to move on a given route. It is high towards locations where containers accumulate, low or zero towards locations where they are short, and it can be negative when MG-Atlantic needs the equipment at destination: a negative amount is in your favour. Free days, per diem and return conditions are confirmed with each release.

Process

How access works

  1. Choose your routes: A port, a country, a region or any location, on either side.
  2. Confirm by email: Confirm your request with the link we send you by email.
  3. Review by our team: Our team reviews each request. Access is reserved for professional users.
  4. Receive the offers: Once approved, you receive the offers that match your routes, at the frequency you chose, at 09:00 your time. To book, reply to the offer email with the route, equipment and quantity.

Free service, reserved for professional users. No obligation to book.

Frequency and weeks without offers

Offers can be received weekly, every two weeks or monthly, at 09:00 in your time zone on a working day. Each week's offers are approved by our team before they are sent. If none of your routes has an offer when an email is due, nothing is sent: we never send an empty email.

Equipment in the offers

Offers use the standard container types below, with the condition stated on each line. Which equipment appears in a given week depends on where containers need to move; you can limit your offers to the types you use.

Container grades explained: How new, one-trip, cargo-worthy and wind & watertight grades are defined.

Container size guide: Internal dimensions, payloads and volumes for each container size.

Who the offers are for

Shippers, freight forwarders, NVOCCs, traders and logistics operators who need SOC equipment for a single leg and can return the container to the destination depot within the agreed free days. Bookings are contracted and invoiced by MG-Atlantic SA, Geneva.
